'What?! Why?!': O'Hara shocked at who Arsenal could sign after hearing it for the first time

The former midfielder has been in America during this past month, so he didn’t know the latest transfer rumours doing the rounds in the Premier League.

But when he was told about Kai Havertz going to Arsenal, he asked ‘why?’ because he doesn’t think the 24-year-old can ‘hit a barn door’, whilst he feels that it’s a ‘good deal’ for Chelsea, as he told talkSPORT.

There is no doubt that it has been a struggle for Havertz at Chelsea in recent times, but which player can really hold their head up high after a season of abject decline at Stamford Bridge?

The versatile forward, who only scored seven Premier League goals under three different managers last term, played his part in that downfall, but now is the right time to start a new chapter in his career.

It will be very interesting to see how Arteta uses his incoming signing, as O’Hara was asking more questions when being told about this deal after hearing it for the first time.
“Did you hear about that, Jamie?” asked Jason Cundy. “Kai Havertz is going to Arsenal.”

O’Hara responded: “What?! What’s going on at your football club?”
Cundy added: “We got £60 million for him.” to which O’Hara responded: “For Havertz?! Have Chelsea got anyone left? £60 million, that’s a good deal.

“Why are Arsenal paying £60 million for him? He can’t hit a barn door.”avertz as a number eight?
It’s pretty clear that playing as a number nine isn’t going to get the best out of Havertz, so you can probably rule out Arteta using him in that fashion on a regular basis.

With Granit Xhaka headed for the Arsenal exit door, could Havertz play that left-sided number eight role? The number ten role is occupied by Martin Odegaard, so he’s not pushing ahead of his soon-to-be captain anytime in the near future.

Either way, he suits Arteta and his system far better than the rubbish that was being cooked up at Chelsea, as this seems a good deal for both parties.
