CONFIRMED:Club 'ready to sign' contracts for 24year old after Arsenal's lawyers approve 'final wording'

West Ham United are ready to sign the contracts for midfielder Declan Rice once Arsenal’s lawyers approve the final wording of the club-record deal, Sky Sports News report.

The Gunners have had Rice as their priority target for the summer transfer window, and an agreement was recently reached to sign him for £100 million plus £5m in add-ons.

The club have accepted to pay the fixed fee in three instalments over a period of 24 months, but the move has not been made official yet with the documents being analysed.

Sky Sports News claim that the Hammers are prepared to pen the contracts for the 24-year-old’s exit as soon as the Gunners’ lawyers ratify the final wording of the record transfer.

Arsenal are hopeful of signing Rice before they travel for the US pre-season tour on Sunday.

Gunners need to finalise Rice deal quickly
Arsenal are currently taking extra caution with Rice’s documents, considering the huge fee involved.

However, this should not drag on for long, and they need to secure his signature as soon as possible.

The club play their first pre-season friendly against Nurnberg in Germany on Thursday afternoon.

Within a few days, they will travel with the squad for the US tour which starts from July 20.

The Gunners face the MLS All-Stars before taking on Manchester United and Barcelona.

Rice needs to be integrated into Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans before those friendlies. It appears the midfielder has already undergone his medical. A formal announcement could be made in the coming days. Jurrien Timber looks likely to join the club before him.
