Dream line-up for Arsenal vs Manchester United friendly as Timber & Rice start

Arsenal take on Manchester United in New Jersey on Saturday night in what is the second match of their US preseason tour. The game represents the first competitive test of the summer after games against Nurnberg and the MLS All-Stars.
Erik Ten Hag has already faced competitive opposition with wins over Leeds United and Lyon. The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be hoping to try out some new tactics with his team that are hoped to include some of the new stars available after an aggressive start to the transfer window.

With the Premier League now just over three weeks away Arsenal might want to consider how their starting line-up might look in addition to the Community Shield, which takes place a week earlier against Manchester City. With that said, and the fitness of Oleksandr Zinchenko still in question it could be time for changes, specifically in the back four.

With Jurrien Timber in the side, the Dutch international showed against the All-Stars his ability to play the inverted role. This could release Kieran Tierney down the left who has been very much of a reduced figure in the side due to Zinchenko’s arrival.

How the change in midfield affects the front three remains to be seen, but having Bukayo Saka in such good form with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli also scoring against the All-Stars is only going to boost confidence. Seeing this new-look Gunners side is very exciting indeed.
