Exceptional Player prefers Arsenal to Liverpool. "UPDATE"

Football Transfers are reporting this morning that Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all want to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Southampton, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, are willing to sell Lavia.

But, the Saints want as much as £50 million in transfer fees for the Belgium international defensive midfielder.

Although Arsenal are not willing to pay £50 million for Lavia and would have to first sign Declan Rice from West Ham United and offload defensive midfielder Thomas Partey, it is the North London club where the teenager prefers to move to, according to Football Transfers.

“The offering of Champions League football, the presence of Mikel Arteta and the ‘Arsenal project’, and the image of a well-run club have given the Gunners the advantage over their rivals in the eyes of Lavia,” according to the report, which has added that Arsenal are also able to pay more wages than the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Could Liverpool or Chelsea beat Arsenal to Romeo Lavia signing?
In our opinion, just because Romeo Lavia prefers Arsenal does not mean that Liverpool or Chelsea will not be able to sign the Southampton defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window.

If Liverpool or Chelsea pay the £50 million that Southampton want for the 19-year-old and Arsenal do not, then the defensive midfielder could well change his mind.

After all, it would show how much the Reds or the Blues want Lavia.

Yes, Arsenal are a big club and are going places, but Liverpool and Chelsea are global brands as well.

Mauricio Pochettino is the new head coach of Chelsea, and we know from his time at Tottenham Hotspur how much he improves young players.

We believe that in the end, it could come down to which club offers Lavia the most money and where he would progress the most as a footballer.
