Gabriel Jesus fires four-word message after Arsenal training return.
Arsenal have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Fulham. Gabriel Jesus has made a return to training this week as he steps up his recovery from a knee injury.
Earlier this month, Mikel Arteta revealed that the Brazilian striker had undergone a minor procedure to correct an issue with his knee. The Arsenal boss said: "Unfortunately he had a little procedure this morning.
"He's had some discomfort in his knee that caused him some issues so they had to go in. He's going to be out for a few weeks.
"It is a big blow because we had him back to his best, especially with the way he played against Barcelona and he was in good condition but unfortunately, we lost him. We had to look at it and we had to make a decision and the best one is to protect the player and get him back as quick as possible.
"We decided to do it. It's something related to the previous injury he had and the surgery. He had some irritation in the knee and we had to get it resolved."
Jesus missed four months of action last season after suffering an injury during the World Cup in Qatar. The 26-year-old will be hoping his knee problems are now behind him as he steps up his recovery after making a return to first team training ahead of the clash against Fulham.
In a post on Instagram, Jesus has sent a four-word message to Arsenal fans after handing Arteta a huge injury boost. The Brazilian posted a picture of himself in training with the message: "Happy to be back."
The Fulham fixture may come too soon for Jesus to return to the squad but with a huge clash against Manchester United on the horizon - the Brazil international could be set to be involved against Erik ten Hag's side next week. Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz have both filled the void in Jesus' absence this month, but with Folarin Balogun edging closer to an exit from the club it now seems Jesus will be ready to step back into the starting XI sooner rather than later.
