The Italian midfielder’s agent has been speaking about his future and revealed that the former Napoli midfielder has been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League.
The midfielder could well be a great signing for any side in the Saudi Pro League, particularly Al-Hilal, who have failed to secure any top-class midfield signings following their struggles to secure the signing of Marco Verratti from PSG.
‘He’s happy’
Joao Santos, Jorginho’s statement, has been quoted by Fabrizio Romano on what his client’s future holds ahead of the new Premier League season.
“I’m sure, Jorginho will stay at Arsenal. He’s happy in England. Let’s move on.
“I had some calls from Saudi and also Spanish clubs like him but he’s staying at Arsenal, it’s decided”, he was quoted as saying.
The midfielder seems unlikely to move to the Middle East but certainly his qualities in a side like Al-Hilal or potentially Al-Ahli, who were also credited with an interest in Verratti according to L’Equipe, could be a good destination for the Italian.
It’s been a fairly underwhelming time in London for the Italian. After he won the Champions League with Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, struggled to progress and was then allowed to leave mid-season to Arsenal.
A deflected winner against Aston Villa seemed to be the kick starter that the midfielder needed but Arsenal struggled in the final few weeks of the season and succumbed to the pressure from the relentless Manchester City.
Jorginho;s future seems at Arsenal which will be a disappointing revelation for sides in the Middle East.
