INJURY UPDATE:Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of Crystal Palace with Zinchenko hope

Arsenal are just one day away from returning to Premier League action when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Mikel Arteta is facing a number of injury concerns ahead of the clash, although one key star could be back in the squad for the trip across the capital.

Jurrien Timber and Gabriel Jesus are the main names absent with knee injuries, although one is far closer to a return. Jesus could be back before the end of month, but Timber may not feature again for the remainder of the 2023/24 season depending on his recovery from the ACL problem.

However, Arteta may welcome back Oleksandr Zinchenko on Monday with the Ukraine international back in training. Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny and several others remain at London Colney recovering from certain injuries.

With that said, football.london has rounded up the latest injury news from north London ahead of the clash against Crystal Palace.

Oleksandr Zinchenko
Injury: Calf

Return date: August 21 vs Crystal Palace (A)

What Arteta has said: "Alex has been doing really well. He's been training with us and, hopefully, we're going to have him very, very soon."

Gabriel Jesus
Injury: Knee

Return date: TBC

What Arteta has said: "It's a bit early, still, less than two weeks since the operation. Hopefully he can start to do some stuff next week. He's doing really well to be fair, but it's something we're going to be cautious with to make sure he comes back in the right way."

Jurrien Timber
Injury: Knee

Return date: 2024

What Arteta has said: "Huge blow. Especially for him after just joining the club. To have the injury he has is a huge blow. We recruited him with clear intentions and what he was bringing to the team was evident, but he's not going to be able to do it this season. We have to adapt. These things happen, unfortunately, and we have to move on."

Mohamed Elneny
Injury: Knee

Also recovering at London Colney: Albert Sambi Lokonga, Nicolas Pepe, Cedric Soares, Nuno Tavares.
