That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Nottingham Forest now have a ‘verbal agreement’ in place to sign Turner.
Arsenal’s second-choice goalkeeper is believed to have agreed personal terms with Forest ahead of a move to the City Ground.
Romano believes that Arsenal and Forest are now sorting out the finer details and then Turner will secure his move to the City Ground.
Romano adds that Arsenal are ‘now closer’ to signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya too.
The Italian suggests that a deal for Raya could be done inside the next 48 hours with Arsenal now pushing to replace Turner.
This comes just a couple of days after Romano suggested that Arsenal had offered a deal worth £23million for Raya.
David Raya backing himself with Arsenal move
It’s fair to say that Raya’s interest in joining Arsenal has left some baffled.
Raya has become a top Premier League goalkeeper with Brentford, ascending to the Spanish national team.
The 27-year-old has earned huge praise for his shot-stopping and his distribution with former Premier League stopper Shaka Hislop hailing Raya as an ‘outstanding’ player.

We can understand why Arsenal would want to add Raya, believing that he and Aaron Ramsdale can give Mikel Arteta two top goalkeeping options.
Raya would initially be coming in as a backup to Ramsdale, potentially putting his Euro 2024 hopes in danger.
The former Blackburn Rovers ace may well back himself to impress Arteta so much that he ends up becoming Arsenal’s first-choice stopper, supplanting Ramsdale in the Gunners side.
