Chelsea are open to a swap deal involving Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe, according to reports. The Blues are claimed to have seen an opening offer for the attacking midfielder rejected by their London rivals.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to strengthen in attack before Friday's 11pm deadline. Smith Rowe is one of several players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The England international has fallen out of favour at Arsenal having not started a match since May 2022. Chelsea have explored the potential of luring him away from the Emirates this week.
However, the Mail says their first offer has been rebuffed. Arsenal are said to be keen to keep Smith Rowe beyond the end of the window.

Smith Rowe has been an unused substitute for Arsenal's first three matches of the season. The arrival of Kai Havertz from Chelsea has seen his route back into the first team blocked further.
He missed much of the first half of last term after undergoing groin surgery. He has been fit for the majority of 2023 but has been unable to catch Mikel Arteta's eye.
