Gabriel Martinelli was absent from Arsenal's brilliant 4-0 win against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night. The Brazilian winger remains sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained during the 1-0 win against Everton on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the win against PSV, Mikel Arteta provided a fresh update on Martinelli's fitness. "Yeah, he felt something in his hamstring and we need to do some further tests to see if there’s some big damage or not but he will be out for tomorrow’s game that’s for sure," the Arsenal boss said.
It's unclear whether the 22-year-old will be available to face Tottenham in the North London Derby on Sunday. With all of that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Gunners injury news.
Gabriel Martinelli
Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has suffered a hamstring injury during the win against Everton. The Brazilian winger looks set for a period of time on the sidelines with Champions League football returning to the Emirates Stadium this week - before the North London Derby against Tottenham next weekend.
Martinelli missed training on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League clash against PSV at the Emirates Stadium.

Mohamed Elneny
The midfielder suffered a serious knee injury in January, which sidelined him for the remainder of last season. In training pictures released by Arsenal on Wednesday, September 13, Elneny was pictured back with the squad, suggesting a return could be close.

What Mikel Arteta has said: "He’s in a good place. It’s been a while and it’s been a really significant injury but I think he’s in the latter stages of that rehab process.
"He’s been training now for almost two weeks with the team and he’s in a good place and it's always great to have him around."
Thomas Partey
The Ghana FA confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Partey had sustained a groin problem during a training session on Thursday, a major blow to Arteta. It remains to be seen how long the 30-year-old will be on the sidelines for.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal hope Partey will be available after the October international break.

What Mikel Arteta has said: " He’s still a few weeks away. He’s got a muscle injury. He’s progressing well, but he’s still a few weeks away."
He was in attendance for the game against Man United. football.london spoke to Timber post-match where the 22-year-old was still using the aid of two crutches to move about.
Asked how he was feeling with his recovery, a swift, "good, good" was the response. He will be sorely missed, especially with the club failing to find a suitable replacement in the summer transfer window.
