Club make ‘final offer’ to sign Arsenal player in out-of-window deal – Not ‘given up’ on long-term target

Fenerbahce are working on a potential deal for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho as they want to sign a player in that position on deadline day of the Turkish window.

That’s according to Takvim, who say the Arsenal midfielder is the name that ‘excites Fenerbahce fans the most’.

The Turkish side are working hard to add a midfielder to their squad before the end of the transfer window, which for Turkey means this evening.

They have been scouring Europe for the right player and have been linked with numerous names as a result, with Arsenal’s Jorginho one of those to be added to the list.
Takvim report he is a player who has ‘been on the agenda’ at Fenerbahce for a long time and they have not ‘given up’ the possibility of signing him.
They’ve now made a ‘final offer’ to Arsenal for the midfielder, with it claimed that he is not a part of the Gunners’ plans for the new season.

It’s not made clear whether the Turkish side are eyeing a loan deal or a permanent one but given the lateness of the window and the general reluctance from Turkish clubs to spend their money, the former seems more likely.

Whether Arsenal will sanction a deal isn’t mentioned either, with the idea he isn’t a part of their plans seemingly borne from the fact he’s not started a game for Arsenal this season and only managed 18 minutes from the bench.

It’s something to keep an eye on, with Fenerbahce certainly keen and working on a number of possible angles to get the midfielder they want.
