Exclusive: Arsenal now working on agreeing two more marquee deals

Arsenal are ready to agree two more marquee contract renewals after tying Martin Odegaard down to a new deal, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners are ready to secure the long-term future of defenders Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Odegaard’s new deal was made official on Friday (22 September) after months of behind-the-scenes negotiations.

The Norway international will now reportedly become Arsenal’s highest-paid player after putting pen to paper until June 2028.

Arteta’s side are keen for Zinchenko to follow in his captain’s footsteps by pledging his future to the club.

They regard him as a key man and want to reward him as such with a long-term renewal.

White’s top form and versatility is also set to net him a bumper new deal in the coming months.

Zinchenko, 26, has made five appearances so far this term having recovered from an early-season injury.

He only joined Arsenal last summer from Man City for a reported £32million and made a big impression in his first season at the Emirates Stadium.

The Ukraine international notched one goal and two assists in 33 appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign.

Meanwhile, White has shone in a right-back role for Mikel Arteta’s side in recent months.

He cost a reported £50million in 2021 but is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in June 2026.Arsenal have picked up 13 points from a possible 15 to start the new season and recorded a 4-0 victory over PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Gunners face Tottenham on Sunday (24 September).
