Ian Wright left 'frustrated' at wasteful Arsenal star after north London derby

The Brazil international forward missed a key chance to put Arsenal 2-0 up as Spurs eventually battled back to secure a point at the Emirates.

Wright now admits that he has similar concerns over Arsenal missing key chances and feels that Jesus ‘cost’ Arsenal this weekend.

‘One of the worrying things has got to be the conversion of big chances,’ he told The Kelly and Wrighty Show.

‘You can feel it in the stadium when you miss a big chance. We’re creating chances and not taking them. We can’t afford to do that.

‘You saw that chance Jesus missed. I found it strange as he did so much work to get in that position.

Arteta 'disappointed' after thrilling 2-2 against Spurs in North London derby

‘It makes me so frustrated. When you saw him go through against Man Utd, that was clinical finishing. So when you’re pressing and get yourself in a situation where you have done the hard work [against Spurs], where is that mindset?

‘You need a striker’s mentality. With everything at his mercy, he just blasted it. It really makes me wonder why he did that. I was very suprised.

‘I was not expecting him to miss the whole target. When he missed it you think, ‘That’s going to cost us’ – because if we went 2-0 up in that game, we’d have seen something very different.’
