‘Incredible’: Mikel Arteta says 25-year-old Arsenal defender is now EXTREMELY good

Mikel Arteta has told Arsenal’s official website that Ben White has been very good for the Gunners in the opening weeks of the new campaign.

The 25-year-old defender has played in all three of the Premier League matches for Arsenal so far this season.

White also played for the Gunners in the FA Community Shield.

The Englishman is being played at centre-back at the moment.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on Ben White
White is a central defender by trade, but he played most of last season at right-back.

Despite his impressive performances this season, White is not part of the latest England squad.

Arteta said when asked about White’s omission from the England squad: “Ben has been incredible since the start of the season again.

“We know that he was there and what happened is totally down to Gareth Southgate and him to make that decision.

“But he certainly has the level and he’s shown that for the last few years.”
White having a break during the international period is actually good news for Arsenal.

At least the Gunners will know that the 25-year-old will not get injured.

White is one of the best English defenders around, and we believe that he will play a big role for Arsenal this season, both in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League.

The defender has made 109 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

White has scored two goals, given five assists, and kept 34 clean sheets in those games.
