Leandro Trossard spotted with Arsenal team in Bournemouth amid Bukayo Saka wait

Leandro Trossard has been pictured arriving with the Arsenal team to give Mikel Arteta a huge injury boost. The Belgian missed last weekend's North London Derby against Tottenham with a minor muscular injury that he appears to have recovered from.

In his pre-Bournemouth press conference, Arteta revealed he, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were all injury doubts having not trained all week. Fabio Vieira and William Saliba were also dealing with slight knocks, however Trossard missing any more action looks to have been ruled out.

On X (formerly Twitter) @SamArsenalFC posted an image of the squad arriving with the likes of David Raya and Eddie Nketiah in the foreground, while Trossard can also been in the background of the image, certainly suggesting he is back and in the squad.

The latter was seen limping towards the end of the Tottenham clash which threw into doubt his fitness, while Rice was substituted at half time with a back problem. As for Saliba, a foot issue is said to have been the reason Arteta listed him as a doubt for Saturday's game.

Trossard returning and going straight into the starting XI is unlikely considering the lack of training completed, especially with Gabriel Jesus and Reiss Nelson as options to be deployed out wide. In midfield Emile Smith Rowe and Kai Havertz will be competing for Vieira's spot, if he is deemed unavailable, with the Portugal international nailing down the position for Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Takehiro Tomiyasu can fill in for Saliba if Arteta decided not to take the risk ahead of a Champions League clash against Lens and a major title clash with Manchester City next weekend.
