Saka has already registered seven goal contributions - three goals and four assists - in just seven appearances across all competitions so far this term. The 22-year-old recently signed a bumper new long-term contract, committing his future to Arsenal for the foreseeable future, fending off interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.
Saka has also become a key player for Gareth Southgate and England following his immense performances at the World Cup in Qatar last year. Nothing has highlighted the England international's importance at Arsenal more than the significant bump in salary he received after signing his new contract earlier this year.
Saka's new four-year contract with Arsenal is thought to be worth at least £200,000-a-week, but could rise to £300,000-a-week due to bonuses, he becomes the club's best-paid player. Now, the Hale End graduate is on course to break a truly unbelievable Arsenal record if selected to face Tottenham in the North London Derby this weekend.
It's pretty much a guarantee that Saka starts as long as he maintains his fitness in the days leading up to the match. Presuming the 22-year-old starts the clash against Ange Postecoglou's in-form Tottenham, it will be his 86th consecutive Premier League appearance for the Gunners, more than any other Arsenal player in the competition's history.
Saka is also far and away the longest-running appearance maker of the current crop of Premier League players, with 27-year-old Brentford forward Yoane Wissa set to reach 69 consecutive appearances. Considering Saka is only 22 years old and playing for a side with a host of top attacking options - it is an incredible achievement for the England international.
It also speaks to the sheer amount of game time Saka has played since breaking into the senior squad at the Emirates Stadium. Despite being one of the most fouled players in the Premier League, Saka continues to maintain his fitness and avoid injury which has helped him towards breaking the club record.
