Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has tipped Arsenal to emerge victorious, telling BBC Sport he is ‘still not convinced by Bournemouth’.
“A new coach has come in, Andoni Iraola, but have they improved from last season under Gary O’Neil?” Sutton said. “I am not so sure they have.
“Arsenal have a few injury concerns at the moment, including Bukayo Saka. Their squad will be stretched for this game, but I still think they will find a way through and squeak a victory.”
Arsenal cannot afford to slip up
This game is a must-win for the Gunners. After finishing second in the league last season, the expectation levels are high.
The Gunners spent heavily in the summer transfer window and brought in players who can make a big difference to the side, including Declan Rice.
However, the Gunners face a tough race for the title. Manchester City look unbeatable at the moment, while Liverpool and Spurs have been doing exceptionally well.
Arsenal are already four points behind City, and they cannot afford to drop further points. Liverpool and Spurs face each other this weekend, which helps the Gunners’ cause.
Arsenal are missing several key players through injuries, but they should have enough quality to Bournemouth.
