Premier League health check after international break as injuries hit Arsenal and Man Utd

An early international break can often be a worry for Premier League clubs, as they look to avoid injuries which could dent any early momentum.

All 20 clubs are back in action this weekend, with most playing their fifth game of the season. League leaders Manchester City travel to unbeaten West Ham, while their neighbours Manchester United will look to rebound from their defeat at Arsenal as they welcome Brighton to Old Trafford.

Some teams have already suffered injury blows, not least Chelsea, who will be without summer signing Christopher Nkunku for an extended period of time. However, the international break has brought fresh concerns for a number of managers.

According to Premier Injuries, some 103 Premier League players could be absent through injury or suspension for the next round of fixtures. Here, Mirror Football sheds more light on who is in good shape and who has a fair amount to worry about.

Some of those named were forced to pull out of their respective international squads, such as Man Utd's new signing Sofyan Amrabat and Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Others, though, picked up issues while away with their countries.
