SATURDAY MORNING INJURY UPDATE:Arsenal injury news and return dates before Everton with Thomas Partey and Timber's update

The international break is here and for Mikel Arteta, it's a time to reflect on the start that his Arsenal side have made in the Premier League.

The Gunners have ten points from a possible 12 on offer so far, with their only blemish being a 2-2 draw with Fulham, but ending on a high note with a 3-1 victory over rivals Manchester United. The Spaniard will be hopeful that his squad all return injury-free after a few knocks early in the campaign.

Summer signing Jurrien Timber looks set for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in the opening clash of the campaign. Meanwhile, Thomas Partey missed out on the Ghana squad for the international break due to an issue he picked up last week.

With that said, here's a look at the latest Arsenal injury news during the international break.

He was in attendance for the game against Man United. football.london spoke to Timber post-match where the 22-year-old was still using the aid of two crutches to move about.

Asked how he was feeling with his recovery, a swift, "good, good" was the response. He will be sorely missed, especially with the club failing to find a suitable replacement in the summer transfer window.

What Arteta has said: "Huge blow. Especially for him after just joining the club. To have the injury he has is a huge blow. These things happen, unfortunately, and we have to move on."

The Ghana FA confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Partey had sustained a groin problem during a training session on Thursday, a major blow to Arteta. It remains to be seen how long the 30-year-old will be on the sidelines for.
