Ian Wright was annoyed as footage emerged of Eddie Nketiah being offside in the Arsenal v Everton clash on Sunday (18 September).
The Gunners number nine was marginally offside and the former Arsenal striker believes that he’s aware of the rules and should be more alert.
It did not affect the final result anyway as the visitors secured a 1-0 victory through Leandro Trossard’s goal.

Wright said in Premier League Productions’ post-match show at 6:48pm, “This annoyed me more than anything. We know what the margins are so there’s nothing to complain about. It’s something that annoys me. Get yourself back onside because that can happen.”
Kind of harsh
Before the season began, the message was loud and clear that they would not look to find even the minute of offsides.

There’s also an argument that Nketiah did not receive a pass and just got fortunate with the deflection off his teammate.
To the naked eye, there wasn’t much to give this an offside so Wright is kind of being harsh on Nketiah in that situation.
For Everton, this was a classic example of how not to play and they’re going to get relegated if they continue to perform in this manner.
It was a dismal effort from the Toffees and Sean Dyche is going to have questions asked if things do not change in the next few games.
It remains to be seen how he responds to adversity as some of the players need to be dropped as they’re not performing well at all.
