The duo wrote their names into Napoli folklore last season by helping the Italian giants win the Scudetto, with Thierry Henry adding it was ‘vital’ for those in Naples to keep their star men on board, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (20/09/23 at 7:20 pm).
Not only that, Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia forged one of the most deadly partnerships in Europe and it grabbed the attention of many clubs across Europe, including Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Back in the summer, it was suggested that Arsenal were trying to sign the all-action winger, but he stayed put as Mikel Arteta’s side didn’t add to their wide areas, at all.
Another man the Premier League title-chasing have been trying to add is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, Victor Osimhen, with Edu hoping to get him on board for the summer of 2024.
Whilst Arsenal have plenty of goals in their locker, many feel that adding that proven number nine will elevate them even further.

Thierry Henry on Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen ‘surprise’
“I was surprised that Kvaratskhelia stayed, Osimhen stayed,” said Henry. “I think it was vital for them to be able to stay, to compete in the Champions League and the league.
“But, for me, they lost Spalletti. Very big,”Will Arsenal push for Osimhen?
As the recent summer transfer window proved, number six’s are going for transfer fees you would normally associate goalscorers with.
So, it begs the question, if someone like Osimhen does become available, then how much would he be worth?
Over £100 million surely has to be the answer, and if Arsenal are serious about winning trophies again, then that is the price you now have to pay.
