Partey has not featured for Arsenal since the 2-2 draw against Fulham on August 26th due to a groin injury he picked up in training.
The 30-year-old has missed the last three games in all competitions and was not expected to return until after the international break next month.
But my understanding is that Partey is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is hoping to be involved in Arsenal’s crucial home game against Manchester City on October 8.
Meanwhile, Declan Rice’s back injury is not believed to be as serious as first feared and the midfielder could potentially feature against Bournemouth at the weekend.
Rice is expected to sit out the Carabao Cup clash at Brentford on Wednesday night, however, with Mikel Arteta set to make wholesale changes in west London.
The likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe are all hoping for game time in the third round clash.
