Arsenal fans caught on video taking over London gig

Islington-based musician Louis Dunford played a gig at the Eventim Apollo on Saturday night, and the crowd was packed with Arsenal fans.

Videos on social media showed the audience chanting Arsenal’s “Allez, allez, allez” chant, with the majority of those in attendance joining in with the song.

Dunford has made a name for himself in Arsenal circles due to the popularity of his song “The Angel (North London Forever)”, which is now played before matches at the Emirates Stadium every matchday.

The musician himself is an Arsenal fan, and he wrote the song about his experience as part of the local community in north London.

With the tune taking off in the Arsenal fan community, it’s no surprise many of those at his gigs would also be supporters of the club.

Dunford certainly seemed to be pleased with how the night went, posting on social media on Saturday morning.

“It’s gonna take a while to process last night,” Dunford wrote. “I’m sure I’ll find the words in a couple of days but for now all I can say is if that was the last gig I ever play, I’ll die a happy man.

“I’m still flying. Hand on my heart, thank you to all who came. Be lucky.”
