Arsenal stars Saka and Odegaard have Ballon d'Or rankings confirmed

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have had their Ballon d'Or rankings confirmed.

The pair both made the 30-man shortlist for football's most prestigious individual prize, with players recognised for their performances over the course of last season.

It was no surprise therefore that the Arsenal stars made the cut. Bukayo Saka scored 14 Premier League goals and provided 12 assists as the Gunners mounted a serious title bid, while Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard had a superb season in front of goal as he netted 15 times in the League.

Odegaard has finished in a tie for 28th alongside Randal Kolo Muani in the Ballon d'Or rankings, with Bukayo Saka 24th.

It is the first time either of them have made the final shortlist for the award, with Saka was one of three English players to make the cut for the top men's prize, along with Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.

Kane was 19th in the rankings, after a typically reliable season in front of goal for Tottenham and England, with Bellingham one better in 18th. The voting does not take into account form this season, so the Real Madrid star will have to wait until next year's award to be rewarded for his sparkling form this term.

Andre Onana pipped both Odegaard and Saka in the final rankings, as he finished 23rd. The Manchester United goalkeeper's nomination was down to his performances last season when he helped Inter Milan to the Champions League final, rather than anything he has produced since his summer move to Old Trafford.
