Arsenal winger makes immediate return from injury

Arsenal youth winger Amario Cozier-Duberry was called up by the England u19s over the October international break, but the youngster then withdrew from the camp with an injury.

England confirmed the news of the injury themselves, reporting that Cozier-Duberry had been replaced by Ezra Carrington of Manchester City.

The problem was evidently nothing serious, as Cozier-Duberry has already returned to action, featuring in first-team training with Arsenal ahead of their match against Chelsea.

The England u19s were playing in qualifiers for the 2024 u19 European Championships over the October break, and Arsenal defender Lino Sousa was also called up to the squad.

Though Sousa made two appearances and helped England to concede just one goal over the entire break, the team were poor at the other end, only scoring once.

Three draws condemned them to a third-place finish and missing out on the u19 Euro 2024.

The team evidently struggled without Cozier-Duberry’s attacking flair, and they’ll hope to have him back for future tournaments.

As for Arsenal, the u19s play in the UEFA Youth League against Sevilla on Tuesday. They need Cozier-Duberry on top form to turn around a run of two straight defeats in the competition.
