A goal from Eddie Nketiah in the first half opened the flood gates for further additions to the scoresheet after the halfway mark in the game. The striker continued his good form with another two strikes that secured a hat-trick and put the match firmly in his side's hands.
Fabio Vieira added another from the penalty spot before Takehiro Tomiyasu scored his first goal for the club in the final moments of stoppage time. It keeps Arsenal in the title hunt during these early stages, but there's some big ties ahead, so here's a look at the next five fixtures to come.
Newcastle (A) - November 4
There are few tougher places to travel than Newcastle and St James' Park, which is the next challenge for Arsenal in the Premier League. While the Magpies have been a huge threat to most teams, a number of injuries and suspensions could well hit them hard before the clash.
Burnley (H) - November 11
The next home game in the Premier League for Arsenal is against Burnley, who have struggled since making their return to the top flight. It could be an opportunity for the Gunners to add three points to their tally, but former Man City captain Vincent Kompany will be sure to try his best to stop that.
Brentford (A) - November 25
A London derby is on the cards as Arsenal prepare for a trip to Brentford following on from the final international break of the calendar year. The Bees are far from an easy opponent though, having found success frustrating teams and hitting them hard on the counter attack.
Wolves (H) - December 2
Home comforts call in the first game before the festive fixture list kicks in, with Midlands outfit Wolves making the journey to the capital. Gary O'Neil has impressed since taking over as head coach for the club, with decent performances against Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle under their belts.
Aston Villa (A) - December 9
To round out the next five fixtures is a clash with former manager Unai Emery, who has found plenty of success since joining Aston Villa. The Villains have found a habit of winning games in both the Premier League and in Europe, with threats running through their team.
