BREAKING:‘Way ahead’ Arsenal sent injury news on summer signing Jurrien Timber

Kevin Campbell has claimed that Arsenal summer signing Jurrien Timber is ‘way ahead of schedule’ following his ACL tear in August.

There was a lot of excitement from the Arsenal fans when they signed Jurrien Timber from Ajax this summer and it went up a level after they saw his performance in the Community Shield.

Yet, it would have been a dagger to the heart for the supporters and the player himself when he was forced off injured against Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the Premier League season with an ACL injury.

Not even a week in and one of Mikel Arteta’s major signings is already out of the picture, as Arsenal suffered a very early blow to their Premier League title hopes.

But there could already be good news, and it’s not even Christmas, and that’s Jurrien Timber being ahead of schedule.

That’s according to Kevin Campbell, who shared the following message to Curtis Shaw TV when he was talking about Arsenal’s backline.

“Even missing Timber,” said Campbell. “He’s way ahead of schedule by all intents and purposes.”

Could Timber play this season?
It would be a massive, massive boost to the team if the Dutch star can return to the pitch before the final ball is kicked.

The only positive from his injury was the fact that it happened in August, which gives him a chance to return.

Last summer, Aston Villa lost their big-money summer signing, Diego Carlos, during the second week of the season to a similar injury and he was back for the final months of the campaign, so there is hope for Timber.
