Deal Confirmed:Arsenal agree deal as transfer target ‘interested’

Arsenal are currently sat in joint-second place in the table along with rivals Tottenham Hotspur. They are a point behind their upcoming opponents Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s side lost 2-1 away at Lens in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club.

Target wants move
Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Wolves winger Pedro Neto with the player said to be ‘interested’ in a switch to the Emirates Stadium ahead of the January transfer window, according to a report by Football Insider. The Portugal international, who has four caps under his belt so far in his career, is being linked with a switch to the Gunners this winter as Arteta weighs up his potential transfer options.

The 23-year-old moved to England back in 2019 from Braga after spending time in Italy on loan at Lazio and has since become a key player at Molineux over recent seasons. He has made 118 appearances in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 12 goals, one of which has come this season.

Contract deal sorted
Arsenal have secured a new deal for youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly. The highly-rated 17-year-old, who is rising up through the academy ranks, has put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract. He has told the club website: “It means the world to me, my boyhood club ever since I can remember. To play for Arsenal, I’m truly speechless.

“It feels amazing. I’m so delighted because, since I was a boy, I’ve been dreaming of this moment. To say that I’m a professional football player now is a dream come true for me and I just want to thank all the staff and all my family that came to support me. For the support around me, I couldn’t be any more grateful.”
