Gabriel Jesus Arsenal injury latest as scan confirmed amid striker's message

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is the latest injury concern for the Gunners following their victory over Sevilla on Tuesday night, as we bring you the newest information on the striker

SEVILLE, SPAIN - OCTOBER 24: Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal FC reacts during the UEFA Champions League match between Sevilla FC and Arsenal FC at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on October 24, 2023 in Seville, Spain.

Arsenal's injury worries have barely passes before their next set of potential absences have rolled around once again, with Gabriel Jesus the latest concern. The Brazilian striker was the difference maker in his side's clash with Sevilla on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Two pieces of individual brilliance saw Jesus setup Gabriel Martinelli to score the opening goal in the dying embers of the first half. He then took things into his own hands just minutes after the break, beating several players before curling home the second goal of the night.

The Spanish side did launch a fight back, but the Gunners got through and added another three points to their Champions League group tally. It came at a cost though as Jesus would pick up an injury that enforced a substitution from Mikel Arteta during the second half.

It was later confirmed to be a slight hamstring concern that leaves many concerned over whether the forward will be fit for the upcoming clashes. With that said, here's a look at the latest on his injury and how it is developing.

New message
Gabriel Jesus has now sent a new message to fans after winning player of the match in the tie with Sevilla on Tuesday night. Speaking on social media, he said: "Hello, Gooners! I'm here with the player of the match trophy, thank you for your support you helped us a lot.

"A nice, good and important win tonight against Sevilla. So, thank you and let's go!"

Gabriel Jesus breaks silence
While Mikel Arteta expressed his concern for Gabriel Jesus and a possible injury, the striker seemed to dismiss any talk of his concern being a serious one. He told TNT Sports: "I felt something. Let’s see. I did some tests with the physio, it looks not that big, but let’s see. I have a scan, maybe tomorrow. I’m pretty sure it will be nothing.”

Mikel Arteta update
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given an update on the fitness of striker Gabriel Jesus after he was substituted against Sevilla with an injury concern. He told the media: "Really sad because he felt something in his hamstring and I’m worried about that."
