Gabriel Jesus has hinted at a possible start against RC Lens tonight to dispel any injury concerns. There were fears that the Brazilian could sit out the Champions League clash after hobbling off at Bournemouth on Saturday.

While Jesus played the full game, he looked awkward at the full-time whistle and fans wondered whether a night off might be on the cards, with one eye on the Manchester City test. Mikel Arteta confirmed that his star striker was carrying a knock following the 4-0 win at the Vitality Stadium. The Spaniard also stayed coy on concerns over Bukayo Saka’s fitness as he was forcibly withdrawn early.

"I don't [know] yet, as I haven't had a chance to speak to him (Saka)," Arteta said. "I think it was a stamp in the same area but (Gabriel Jesus) was limping as well after the game so let's see how they are."

However, Jesus has posted a video of his strike against PSV Eindhoven onto his Instagram story - a tell-tale sign that he is all good ahead of tonight’s game. The 26-year-old scored the third in a convincing 4-0 win last time out.

The likes of Thomas Partey, Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny are also desperate for first-team minutes. Should Jesus feature tonight, he will make his 40th appearance in the competition.
