'I love the club' - Arsenal sent transfer message as Pedro Neto addresses Wolves future

Pedro Neto wants to continue playing his football at Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite transfer interest from the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has rediscovered his form after suffering two significant knee injuries in the last two years. His strong start to the season caught the eye of Aston Villa and Liverpool who have had scouts in attendance to watch him recently.

Neto is also wanted by Arsenal who have been long-standing admirers. Elsewhere, the Portuguese is subject of transfer interest from Saudi Arabia and Atletico Madrid.

"I love the club and everybody here, I have always felt that it has given a lot to me. I’m enjoying the moment here so I will continue to do that.

"The future and long-term ambitions don’t matter. We will never go down in any situation, we are here to win and fight. I feel really good at the moment and hope to continue."

Neto has so far had seven goal contributions in nine league games.

"I feel even better than I was before," he added. "A player that has confidence is a different player: I always had it but Gary (O'Neil) has given me even more. I play football because I love it, but the game is what it is because of the fans.

"When I get the ball and they are pushing me and expecting something special, it’s such a good feeling."
