William Saliba and Declan Rice have joined Leandro Trossard in celebrating Arsenal’s late show at Chelsea.
The Gunners were hoping for a big derby day victory but found themselves 2-0 down to goals from Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Rice hauled Arsenal back into the game from a Robert Sanchez mistake before Trossard had his big moment.
The Belgian swooped in behind Malo Gusto to convert Bukayo Saka’s cross, sparking absolute bedlam in the away end as Arsenal snatched a 2-2 draw.
Leandro Trossard celebrates Arsenal goal
Trossard took to Instagram after the final whistle, posting just four words after his crucial goal.
‘Never count us out’ said Trossard, alongside a photo of himself celebrating in front of the Arsenal fans at Stamford Bridge.
Defender William Saliba responded with four flame emojis, seemingly loving the equaliser and the message from Trossard.
Rice responded by saying ‘my guy’ whilst Takehiro Tomiyasu applauded Trossard for his impact in Arsenal’s draw.
Adidas even called Trossard ‘boss’ as he earned major praise for his vital goal in Arsenal’s fightback.
Trossard has Arteta backing but may be reduced to impact role
Trossard joined Arsenal for £27million in January, arriving at the Emirates Stadium after the Gunners missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Belgian isn’t a regular starter and some may even feel that he actually does his best work off the bench.
Trossard has now scored key goals against Everton and Chelsea off the bench, showing himself to be a player who can make a big impact.
Arteta views the substitutes as ‘finishers’ who can came on and make a big impact, so maybe Trossard is ideal for that role rather than starting regularly.
