Arsenal's next six Premier League fixtures compared with Chelsea, Liverpool and rivals... How ready are the GUNNERS

Arsenal lost their first Premier League match of the season on Saturday evening, losing 1-0 away to Newcastle United. Anthony Gordon's second-half effort, which was shrouded in plenty of VAR controversy, was enough to secure all three points for the hosts in what was a tense fixture at St. James' Park.

The Gunners now sit fourth in the league table after Liverpool climbed above them with their draw against Luton Town yesterday. Martin Odegaard missed the trip up north, with Arteta confirming that Arsenal's club captain wasn't fit enough to play.

Sevilla (H) - November 8

Arsenal welcome Sevilla to the Emirates Stadium in the hopes of picking up a second consecutive win against the Spanish outfit. The Gunners currently sit top of their Champions League group and could take a huge step towards qualification for the knockout rounds with a win against Sevilla.

Burnley (H) - November 11

The next home game in the Premier League for Arsenal is against Burnley, who have struggled since making their return to the top flight. It could be an opportunity for the Gunners to add three points to their tally, but former Man City captain Vincent Kompany will be sure to try his best to stop that.

Brentford (A) - November 25

A London derby is on the cards as Arsenal prepare for a trip to Brentford following on from the final international break of the calendar year. The Bees are far from an easy opponent though, having found success frustrating teams and hitting them hard on the counter attack.Lens (H) - November 29

Arsenal end November with their fifth Champions League group stage fixture. Mikel Arteta's side will be looking for revenge against Lens after tasting defeat in the reverse fixture in France.

Arsenal may have secured qualification for the knockout rounds by this point - but they will be looking to finish top of Group B in the hope of securing a more favourable tie in the round of 16.

Wolves (H) - December 2

The Gunners start December with a home fixture against Wolves, who currently sit 14th in the league standings. The north Londoners have enjoyed some excellent results against Wolves in recent times, beating them home and away in each of the last two Premier League campaigns.

Arteta and Co will be hoping to keep that run going this term.
