Arteta has brand new Jesus replacement at Arsenal after message before Newcastle

The 18-year-old scored twice against Manchester City Under-21s on Friday in a match between two of the best academy sides in te country and once more showed just why he is so highly rated. "Another impressive performance from Cozier-Duberry, who can't be far away from making his first-team debut," wrote football.london writer Aaron Catterson-Reid at Meadow Park after the 3-3 draw.

"Some intelligent movement in behind the City defence before he saw his penalty saved but he tapped in the rebound. Clinical finish to get his second, using his weaker right foot well to find the bottom corner."

The London-born winger is a versatile player capable of featuring across the frontline and already has over 50 appearances for the youth sides as he often plays at least two years about his age group. He was a top performer for the side last year with nine-goal contributions in 22 PL2 games as a starter and five goals and three assists in the Youth Cup, his EFL Cup record is strong as well.

It hasn't gone unnoticed either with a handful of bench appearances handed out to the England Under-19 international. He is yet to get any minutes but has trained with the senior squad before, though he is yet to get much of a taste of things this season.

There is yet to be much suggestion that a debut is close but on current form, it may well prove a smart piece of work to get him involved as a potential understudy to the understudy in Nelson and there's always the chance that it leads to something much more than that and even Jesus' spot on the right comes under threat when he's called upon there.
