Havertz dropped in 3 big changes | Expected Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brentford

Arsenal travel to west London for today’s late Premier League kick-off against Brentford.

The Gunners are currently one point adrift of leaders Manchester City in the standings.

Ramsdale prepares to return to Arsena
The Cityzens will be in action against second-placed Liverpool this afternoon. A draw or a defeat for Pep Guardiola’s side will give an opportunity for the Gunners to move to the top of the table.

Ahead of the game, there will be at least one enforced change. Aaron Ramsdale will be back in goal for the first time in the league since September with David Raya ineligible to face his parent club.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Ramsdale has only featured in the Carabao Cup since the September international break but he will start between the sticks in the derby with Raya’s absence. The Englishman will be aiming to prove a point to manager Mikel Arteta with a clean sheet.

In the backline, there could be one change from the 3-1 win over Burnley before the international break. Ben White has returned from a muscle issue and he should be drafted straight into the line-up to replace Takehiro Tomiyasu at right-back.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are assured starters in central defence. Oleksandr Zinchenko has earned his place at left-back after a splendid showing versus the Clarets. He scored a stunning acrobatic goal before the international break.

In midfield, there should be one change from last time around. Jorginho is a nailed-on starter in the number six role. The same can be said for Declan Rice, who will operate from a central position. Kai Havertz should make way for captain Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard has fully recovered from his concussion symptoms and the Norwegian is expected to start from the number 10 role versus the Bees. Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli should line up from the right and left wing respectively.

Gabriel Jesus is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury. He scored and assisted against Sevilla before his setback. Despite this, we prefer Leandro Trossard to lead the line after three goal contributions in his last two games.
