'I hope': Oleksandr Zinchenko names the two players he really wants Arsenal to sign

Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has named the two players he would really like the Gunners to sign.

Both the players are Ukraine international teammates of Zinchenko, who can operate as a left-back or as a midfielder.

What’s the story?
Well, Oleksandr Zinchenko has openly said that he would like two of his Ukraine international teammates to play for Arsenal.

Zinchenko himself joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and has been superb for the North London club.

The 26-year-old Ukraine international wants Heorhiy Sudakov and Mykola Matviyenko to join him at Arsenal.

When asked by UA Tribuna, which club Sudakov should move to in the January transfer window, Zinchenko said: “I hope to Arsenal.”

Sudakov plays as a midfielder and is on the books of Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk at the moment.

The 21-year-old has already played 12 times for Ukraine and is a very big talent.

Earlier this month, Sudakov said that his playing style is similar to that of Tottenham Hotspur and England international attacking midfielder James Maddison.

Arsenal have been linked with Sudakov. TEAMtalk reported in October that Juventus, Manchester City, the Gunners and Chelsea all have scouted the attacking midfielder and have been impressed with him.Zinchenko would also like Mykola Matviyenko at Arsenal. Matviyenko is 27 and can play as a centre-back or as a left-back.

The defender has been on the books of Shakhtar Donetsk his entire professional club football career so far and has played 61 times for Ukraine. Matviyenko was linked with Arsenal back in January 2020.

When asked which of his Ukraine international teammates he would sign for the Gunners, the 26-year-old said: “Matviyenko”.

Meanwhile, Rob Holding could be on the move again just months after leaving Arsenal.

Crystal Palace signed Holding from Arsenal in the summer of 2023. According to Football Transfers, Bournemouth are interested in the defender and have expressed interest in securing his services.
