'Interesting': Pundit claims Mikel Arteta will be starting to get worried about 24-year-old Arsenal player now

Stephen Warnock has said Mikel Arteta could now be worried about Kai Havertz after another quiet performance from the Arsenal midfielder on Saturday.

Speaking on the 2 Robbies Podcast, the pundit claimed that the 24-year-old could now be an issue for the Gunners manager after another average display at the Emirates Stadium.

Havertz was once again in the starting XI for Arsenal as the north London side eased their way to a 3-1 win against Burnley, overtaking Tottenham in the Premier League standings.

With patience already running thin with supporters, Arteta’s resolve with Havertz could soon be broken, with pundits now thinking that the midfielder is overthinking too much at Arsenal.

Warnock said: “It’s interesting, everyone who watches him says ‘there’s a player there’, but is he that training ground player who you’ve always played with throughout your career who is brilliant in training but can’t quite hit that next level on the pitch.

“Is it something he fears going onto the pitch where he isn’t comfortable? Has it got to a point where he is overthinking about the game and overthinking about what people are going to be saying about him and there’s that element of doubt in his mind? For one reason or another, it’s not happening for him. That will be a concern for Arteta.”

Football fans are as impatient as they come in human society, and with Arsenal supporters already tired of Havertz, time is something the German midfielder might feel he doesn’t have.
Yet if there’s one manager who is willing to give a player the time to find his feet, it’s Arteta, and the Arsenal manager must continue to do just that with the former Chelsea man.

The 41-year-old coach is no stranger to transforming outcasted players into superstars, and Havertz could well become the next name to undergo such a change at Arsenal with Arteta.
