‘So intelligent’: Martin Odegaard says 22-year-old Arsenal star is a truly ‘great player’

Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard has given his verdict on Bukayo Saka.

Odegaard has given his take on the development of Arsenal and England international winger Saka in recent years.

So, what has Martin Odegaard said about his Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka?

Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal took on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League this past weekend.

I expected the Gunners to win with ease.

And, so they did.

Arsenal won 3-1.

Bukayo Saka provided an assist.

While previewing the match for Arsenal’s official website, Odegaard noted the importance of Saka in the current team.

The Norway international playmaker said that although Saka is only 22, he is already a leader.

The former Real Madrid attacking midfielder said that it did not surprise him to see the England international wear the captain’s armband in his absence.

Odegaard told Arsenal’s official website before the match against Burnley this past weekend: “It’s been really frustrating for me to miss the last couple of games, and also that last league game here, the 5-0 win over Sheffield United.

“Bukayo took the armband for that game – the first time he’s been Arsenal captain I think – and we can all see that he is adding leadership to his long list of qualities.

“I’ve seen it for a while to be honest, I’m not surprised he’s developing like this.

“I’m really happy for him, because he deserves it. I think he’s a bit like me in that he’s not the one who shouts the most, or the loudest one in the dressing room.

“But he’s so intelligent, he’s always available, he gives everything for the team and he’s taking more and more responsibility on and off the pitch.

“He really deserves to be there as one of the captains, I’m proud of him and happy to have him as a teammate, because he’s a great player and also a great person.”My View: Arsenal and England international winger Bukayo Saka is world class
In my opinion, Arsenal and England international winger Bukayo Saka is a world-class player.

Yes, I know that Saka is only 22 and he has not yet proved himself in the UEFA Champions League.

The England international has not shown us yet that he can consistently play well against elite teams in Europe’s premier club competition.

But, if Arsenal continue to play in the UEFA Champions League in the coming seasons, then Saka could be able to prove that.

We have seen Saka do extremely well in the Premier League.

The winger scores goals, creates chances, tracks back, helps out defensively, and plays consistently well.

I believe that Saka is a manager’s dream.

The Arsenal no. 7 has made 146 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Saka has scored 35 goals and given 30 assists in those games.
