Cedric took to Instagram to express his delight after returning to the Gunners side for the clash which rounded off Mikel Arteta’s side’s group-stage campaign.
With the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey sidelined, Cedric Soares got the chance to make his first start of the season as Arteta made a number of changes with top spot already secured.
Cedric did well against PSV. He certainly did not look as though he was making his first start of the campaign, quickly getting up to the speed of the game and defending well against an impressive PSV attack.
Cedric took to social media following the 1-1 draw, noting how happy he was to feature for the Gunners again.

Right-back proves he can still play a role for the Gunners
Obviously, it is hard to see Cedric playing regularly for Arsenal again. If everyone is fit, the £5 million man is unlikely to feature often in Arteta’s squads.
In fact, Arsenal are apparently open to offers for Cedric in January. Having said that, he has handed the Gunners a bit of a boost given the lack of options available to Arteta right now.
Cedric has proved to be a very decent squad member. And the responses show that he is clearly popular amongst the other players.
So if he is needed over the coming months, he can probably be relied upon to come in and do a good job. And that is only a positive for Arsenal as they now look to navigate the busy Christmas period.
