Arsenal could now offer 'very fast' player as sweetener in deal to bring £80m striker to N5 - TBR View

Arsenal are likely to feature heavily in the transfer rumour mill ahead of and during the January transfer window.

The Gunners have areas they could do with bolstering, including at centre-forward. Conversely, several Arsenal players are being linked with a move away.

One of those is Jakub Kiwior. The Gunners defender is said to be on the radar of multiple clubs in England and elsewhere going into the January window.

For instance, Calciomercato.it recently reported that AC Milan, Napoli, Lazio and Roma have all asked about the former Spezia centre-back.

The Italian outlet has also claimed that the Arsenal man is on the radar of French outfit Nice and Premier League side Brentford.

The latter club’s apparent interest in Kiwior could potentially play into Arsenal’s hands with regards to one of their top targets.

We’re talking, of course, about Ivan Toney. The Gunners have been heavily linked with the England striker, who’ll be able to return to action soon.

Arsenal could offer Jakub Kiwior in player-plus-cash deal for Ivan Toney
Now, Arsenal have apparently rejected every enquiry which has come in for Kiwior, as they intend to keep the ‘very fast’ talent.

However, the Gunners are now in a position where they have a player wanted by the club that has one of the best strikers in the country on their books.

Arsenal would obviously still need to pay a huge sum to sign Toney. The 27-year-old reportedly has an £80million price tag.

However, with Kiwior having cost Arsenal £20million, the Gunners could certainly try their luck with an offer of £60-65million plus the Poland international for Toney.

The Brentford striker is reportedly keen on joining Arsenal, while Bees director Lee Dykes recently told the club website: “If a deal is there to be done, then we are more than willing to play ball.”

Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. Arsenal certainly have the chance to offer a sweetener in order to help push a deal through for one of the top strikers in the Premier League.
