Up there will be much change before the Blues' next domestic game after Christmas, but MEN Sport has taken a look at how their next six Premier League games stack up against the others.
City - 4th (34pts)
Verdict: City are currently three points behind league leaders Liverpool but that could increase to nine by Christmas. Guardiola's side have no Premier League game next weekend due to their participation in the Club World Cup and face a tough trip to Everton the day after Boxing Day.
Home games against Sheffield United and Burnley should yield six points but that trip to Newcastle in mid-January will be a really tough fixture, as will the journey to Brentford before Sean Dyche's side come to the Etihad. City already cannot afford to drop many points so will need close to a perfect run during this spell.
Liverpool - 1st (37pts)
Arsenal - 2nd (36pts)
Aston Villa - 3rd (35pts)
Tottenham Hotspur - 5th (33pts
