The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by the Dutch giants in what was a fairly uneventful game. Nketiah scored the opener in the first half, and if Trossard was a little unselfish in the end, the Englishman could’ve bagged the winner for Arsenal.

Eddie Nketiah says he was ‘disappointed’ with Arsenal teammate Leandro Trossard
Arsenal were nowhere near their best last night, but they still had plenty of chances to score.
Jakub Kiwior had a goal disallowed and had another big opportunity to score, while Mohamed Elneny was a whisker away from finding the net from distance.
The biggest chance of the game, however, fell to Leandro Trossard‘s feet right at the end, and the Belgian’s left-footed strike after a fantastic bit of skill was saved by Walter Benitez in PSV’s goal.
A better option for Trossard would’ve been to square the ball to Eddie Nketiah for a tap-in. That didn’t happen, and the England striker was far from happy with his teammate.
He was seen having a go at Trossard on the pitch, and he admitted in a post-match interview that he was disappointed to not receive a pass.
He told TNT Sports: “Yeah, look, it’s normal. I always want to play, I always want to score. I think I was in a good position. Obviously, Leo made the decision to shoot, it’s up to him.
“Of course, you’re going to be disappointed. But you get over it. These things happen in football.”
Arsenal star Leandro Trossard had a poor game
Leandro Trossard is one of Arsenal’s most gifted players, and he has produced a number of brilliant performances for the Gunners this year.
However, the Belgian has been poor in his last two appearances.
He didn’t have the greatest of performances when he came off the bench against Aston Villa last weekend, and his display last night wasn’t at his usual level either. But, Trossard still had a couple of opportunities to score, which is a big positive.
Arsenal take on Brighton in the Premier League this weekend. Trossard would love nothing more than to score against his old club, almost a year after he left them for £27 million (Sky Sports).
