Jamie Carragher has backed Arsenal to end Aston Villa’s 14-game winning streak at Villa Park on Saturday.

Aston Villa are enjoying an exceptional run of form under Unai Emery at the moment and leapfrogged Manchester City with a 1-0 win over the champions last night.

Mikel Arteta’s men will certainly have their work cut out on Saturday, with Villa enjoying a 14-game winning streak at home.

Arsenal scraped past Luton Town on Thursday with a 4-3 win thanks to a last-minute Declan Rice header.

The Gunners will certainly have to improve on Tuesday’s display to pick up three points away to Villa. But Jamie Carragher believes Arteta will have to settle for a draw against Arsenal’s former boss Emery.

Villa head into Saturday’s game just four points behind Arsenal, with Arteta’s men leading the way at the top of the table.

It’s set to be an intriguing clash in the Midlands and based on Villa’s display against City, Arsenal are in for a tough evening on the road.
