The £40m summer arrival from Ajax has been out injured since his debut against Nottingham Forest during Arsenal's opening Premier League fixture of the 2023-24 season.

The talented 22-year-old underwent surgery after sustaining an innury to his ACL on his competitive debut for the Gunners back in August.

The club's medical team has been providing support and expertise while the Utrecht-born defender has been working hard on his rehabilitation program in a bid to ensure the player recovers well and is back playing as soon as possible. 

Arsenal have registered talented 22-year-old for squad to play against Porto in Champions League.

Timber is also expected to travel with the first team on waerm weather training after the FA Cup third round clash against Liverpool at the Emirates on Sunday, January 7.

Arteta and the medical staff will decide if he is progressing well enough to be included in the squad to face Crystal Palace in North London on Saturday, January 20.
