The German hasn’t had the best of starts to life at the Emirates, but after two goals in his last two games, he seems to be finding his feet.
Throughout the opening months of the season, Havertz just hasn’t looked to be gelling with his teammates at the moment, but perhaps there is a signing in January that Arsenal could make to ease this process of settling in.
Indeed, the Gunners have recently been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt, and speaking on the Arsenal YouTube channel, Havertz has named Brandt as his best friend in football.
Brandt is Havertz’s best friend in the game
Havertz spoke about the £22m midfielder and how close they are.
“Who is your best mate in football?” Havertz was asked.
“Julian Brandt from Dortmund,” Havertz replied.
Get him in
Arsenal are said to be admirers of Brandt, and this is yet another reason for the Gunners to go out and sign the Germany international.
Not only is Brandt a fantastic player, he’d find it very easy to settle at the Emirates if he came in to play with his close friend, Havertz.
Not only that, Havertz’s performances could improve if he had someone at the club who he clicks with in this way.
Joining a new team is never easy, and while we don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes, on the pitch, it looks like Havertz hasn’t quite settled, but the potential arrival of Brandt in January could help him come out of his shell and play with a bit more confidence.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as Arsenal are said to be very keen on the Dortmund midfielder heading into the winter window.
