After the game, Gabriel Jesus lauded his team-mate Kai Havertz, before adding Arsenal need to keep focusing on their own game.
'It’s not only about the result, the way we played, the way we controlled them. They have a good team. It was amazing.
'Kai is an amazing player, so strong and tall, his quality, he helps us a lot. We’re very happy we have him.
'Everyone knows about City’s quality. We have to focus on our game. It's not only City in the Premier League. Liverpool are playing so well and Villa are playing amazing. We have to focus on us.'

'We were strong at our house': Kai Havertz
Goalscorer Kai Havertz delivered his verdict on the game, claiming that the first two months of the season were difficult for him.
He said to BBC Sport: 'Very important. It’s a great team. They play very nice football. It’s tough to play against them. We knew we’re strong at our house here. Today it went quite well.
'I’m happy as an offensive player, it’s always nice to score or assist. The first one or two months were difficult but I tried to get the best out of myself every day.'Arteta picked up his fourth yellow card of the season during today's match.
It came after Kaoru Mitoma had fould Bukayo Saka, with the Arsenal boss venting his frustrations at the referee from the sidelines.
Arteta had last week been cleared of misconduct after he called refereeing decisions during his side's 1-0 defeat by Newcastle 'embarrassing'.
But the Arsenal boss has been booked several times this season for ranting at referees, and Mail Sport's Isaan Khan, who was at the Emirates today believes his antics are 'becoming a problem'.

'A joy to watch': Arteta
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has lumped praise on his team for an 'incredible performance' after their 2-0 victory against Brighton.
'Incredible performance,' he said. 'A joy to watch from the start to the end. The way we did it against this very good team. Even at half-time the scoreline didn’t reflect that. We fully deserved to win the game.
On his side's lack of clinicality in the first half: 'We had 15 shots [in the first half], it was a lot. We had to keep going. We don’t have that accuracy in front of goal.'
When asked if he thought Brighton could equalise at 1-0, he added: 'That’s the Premier League. You see it in every game. We had many situations to put the ball in the net and we didn’t, 1-0 isn’t enough.'
It will count! VAR were checking the goal after there was a bit of a mele in the build up to the corner, but Watkins heads home to put Villa ahead!
