83-goal Brazilian star reveals admiration for Arsenal and Man Utd ahead of possible move

Brazilian star Raphael Veiga has revealed his desire to follow Palmeiras team-mate Endrick into Europe football - and he has named Arsenal as one of the clubs on his radar.

Following a wave of speculation over his future and links with some of world football’s biggest clubs, 17-year-old wonderkid Endrick will join Real Madrid at the end of the season and will hope to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Vinicius Junior by impressing at the Bernabeu.

Veiga has also been linked with a move away from Palmeiras but it is the likes of Saudi Arabia Pro League trio Al-Ettifaq, Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad and MLS club Inter Miami that have been mentioned as possible suitors, rather than any clubs in European football. However, that has not prevented the 28-year-old - who has 83 goals and 34 assists in 257 appearances for Palmeiras - talking up a possible move to Europe and revealing his admiration for Arsenal, Barcelona and both Manchester clubs.

He told Spanish outlet AS: “I have the desire to play in Europe, but I’m also very happy to play for Palmeiras. I think any player has the dream of playing in the Old Continent to compete with the best players in the world, to participate in the big championships… Me too, but I am a happy person and if that happens one day it will happen at the right time, and it will be very satisfying, and if it doesn’t happen, I will continue to be happy here.
