'A lot of complaints': Sky Sports pundit now states if Arsenal can still win the Premier League title

Mark Bosnich has claimed that Arsenal could still win the Premier League title after their 5-0 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Gunners returned to winnings ways in emphatic fashion on the weekend after enduring a rough period of form that saw Mikel Arteta’s side win just one of their last seven matches going into this fixture.

Currently sat third and five points off Liverpool, the odds of Arsenal winning the Premier League seem slim, especially with Manchester City yet to hit their best form this season.

Yet speaking to Sky Sports, former Manchester United keeper Bosnich tipped the Gunners to still win the league, with Arsenal looking rejuvenated after the mid-season break.

Bosnich said: “I still think that they can win the title, I’ve heard a lot of complaints and they had a really tough period the last seven games beforehand with a lot of criticisms.

“But a lot of Arsenal supporters over here would much rather have a dodgy spell now around the Christmas period come April or May, and I think they’ve answered their critics in emphatic fashion, and they’re an excellent side.”

Arsenal winning the Premier League isn’t outside the realm of possibility, yet it’s hard to imagine how the Gunners can best the likes of Liverpool and City this season.

The two English giants have been the best clubs in the country this campaign, with City yet to even hit the form that has made Pep Guardiola’s side as strong as they are.

And for Arsenal, a miracle will need to occur if they’re to beat their current rivals to the Premier League title, with few fans expecting the north London side to go all the way at this stage.
