'All of a sudden': ESPN pundit says £60m player will completely transform Arsenal if they sign him

ESPN pundit Janusz Michallik has claimed that Ivan Toney would change Arsenal’s mentality if they signed him this month.

Gunners fans are hoping their club will be active in this transfer window. They need reinforcements to give themselves the best chance of winning the Premier League title, and many feel Toney is the man to get them over the line.

ESPN pundit says Ivan Toney will change Arsenal’s mentality
Arsenal‘s biggest problem this season has been lack of goals.

The North Londoners have scored 37 times in the Premier League so far this season – the worst record among the top five so far.

Things need to change up front for Arsenal, and Ivan Toney has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates over the last few months.

Now, Janusz Michallik has backed the Gunners to sign the Brentford star by claiming he will change the mentality at the club if he does come in.

He said on ESPN: “Ivan Tony makes sense.

“I don’t know how long it’s going to take him to pick up speed and get back to it. I know he’s been training for a long time. I don’t think it’s an issue. He knows the league, he knows how to score in this league.

“It seems that Arsenal are serious about him and I think he changes the mentality of that team all of a sudden.”

Arsenal’s mentality is not an issue
A lot can be said about Arsenal this season, but questioning their mentality is just a bit silly, in our opinion.

The Gunners have shown they can beat the top sides – they beat Manchester City. They’ve also picked up wins from losing positions and have dug deep to score late winners as well. A team with a poor mentality cannot do that.

Ivan Toney will do nothing to Arsenal’s mentality, but one thing he will definitely add is goals. The £60 million Englishman is a proven goalscorer and he will finish off chances if he gets them.

That is the reason why Arsenal should sign Toney this month, but whether the Gunners can afford him is a different issue.
