Curtis Jones opened the scoring after heading home from a superb pass from 19-year-old James McConnell on his full Liverpool debut. The Reds' lead was temporarily ended when Canaries defender Ben Gibson scored his first goal since 2018, but Darwin Nunez finished with aplomb to restore their lead.
Goals from Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dijk extended the Reds' lead before the goal of the game arrived with just over 20 minutes remaining when Borja Sainz fired home from outside the box. Ryan Gravenberch then completed the scoring in stoppage time.
Jurgen Klopp's side will now face either Watford or Southampton at Anfield in the fifth round. The win over David Wagner's side continues Liverpool's battle on all four fronts after they booked their place in the Carabao Cup final in midweek, with their Europa League knockout campaign set to start in March.
Liverpool reunite with Chelsea at Wembley at the end of February in the League Cup final, and their progression in the FA Cup means they will be in action days later, as the fifth round is scheduled for February 28.
Attention now turns back to the Premier League as the Reds look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League. They sit five points clear at the summit, ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand, and can maintain the points total if they beat Chelsea on Wednesday, should City beat Burnley at home.
